Part-Time Website Developer

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive part-time web developer to oversee the ongoing maintenance, security, and optimization of our current website. In addition to ensuring the website remains secure and functional, this individual will be responsible for creating new pages, implementing structural changes, and making content updates to keep the site aligned with advanco’s evolving business objectives. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in designing and developing a new website that authentically represents advanco’s brand, showcases our services, and highlights our technological expertise in the industry.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Website Maintenance & Security:
    • Ensure the current advanco website is running smoothly with regular updates, bug fixes, and optimizations.
    • Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard the website from cyber threats (SSL certificates, firewalls, malware protection, etc.).
    • Perform routine backups and updates to keep all content and functionality current.
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting promptly for any website-related issues.
  • New Website Development & Design:
    • Collaborate with internal teams to understand the vision for advanco’s new website, and design/develop a site that effectively showcases our brand and services.
    • Design and develop user-friendly, responsive, and modern web pages that align with advanco’s business goals.
    • Ensure the website is optimized for both desktop and mobile devices.
    • Integrate best practices in SEO to improve the visibility of our website.
  • Ongoing Website Optimization:
    • Analyze site performance and implement continuous improvements to increase speed, usability, and user engagement.
    • Apply SEO best practices to optimize the website content, structure, and metadata for improved search engine rankings.
    • Ensure that all content management, functionality, and integrations are up to date.
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
    • Collaborate closely with advanco’s marketing and IT teams to ensure seamless alignment between technical requirements, security protocols, and the company’s overarching brand strategy.
    • Provide regular updates to the team on website performance, issues, and proposed improvements.

 

Qualifications / Position Requirements:      

  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining websites
  • Strong proficiency in PHP and SQL, especially for WordPress development and customization.
  • Frontend expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript(including Ajax and jQuery) for building responsive and interactive interfaces.
  • Expertise in security best practices, including SSL, firewalls, malware protection, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot CMS)
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and experience optimizing websites for search engines.
  • Experience in UX/UI design and creating user-centric web experiences.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage projects.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration with internal teams.
